McAllen Chamber Launches Inventors & Entrepreneurs Network
The McAllen Chamber of Commerce’s I & E Network is a program designed to facilitate the connection and networking of inventors and entrepreneurs with the end goal of creating businesses, jobs and local wealth. Long-term studies have shown locally grown businesses have a greater sustainability and success in producing and giving back to their local communities in jobs, investments and charitable giving.
In a global economy, the small nimble niche businesses and start-ups have a greater chance of success and growth when developed and incubated in a business environment that provides encouragement, technical support, networking, investments, and access to markets, growth and support. The Chamber’s program accomplishes several important elements for inventors and entrepreneurs.
The McAllen Chamber’s support is part of a larger program to foster small businesses and entrepreneurs. The Chamber’s program includes small business counseling, market analysis, educational seminars, business plan competitions with STC students, $50,000 for Innovation Grants, $25,000 for Small Business Grants and the micro-grant program for at-risk women. These programs have emerged as the Chamber’s business development program.
The I & E Network will hold its meetings on the fourth Thursday of every month from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, 1200 Ash Ave, McAllen, Texas.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 25. The meetings will include educational training, networking and collaboration and business counseling.
