Customer Service Workshop Scheduled for May 20th
In response to requests from members, the McAllen Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a series of workshops for the balance of the year focused on “Customer Service beyond Expectations.” The first of three workshops is planned for May 20, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the McAllen Chamber. Subsequent workshops will be held in August and October. “Recent economic indicators validate the need for superior service,” noted Jim Deuser of the Chamber who conducts the workshops. “We have updated the sessions with new and fresh material relevant for 2008,” he added. “Even here in the Rio Grande Valley, where the economy has been somewhat resistant to the forces affecting other regions, those companies and organizations that offer superior customer sensitivity will get the lion’s share of the business.” Front line employees will learn how to make a good first impression, how to listen to customers, and how to solve customer complaints and much more. Supervisors, managers and owners will, as a bonus, receive tools that enable them to track the service rendered in their company going forward. The workshop features videos that exemplify good service and professional telephone techniques. Each attendee will receive a personal workbook. Previous attendees have noted, “I appreciated the many valuable tips. There are several I know I’ll use.” A company owner remarked, “I was very impressed with the content.” The cost of the program is $25 for McAllen Chamber members and $30 for non members.
